Joel Courtney & Sofia Black-D'Elia Join 'The Messengers'

Joel Courtney and Sofia Black-D’Elia are headed back to television.

According to Deadline, the two actors will star in the CW’s upcoming series,The Messengers, which starts with a mysterious object crashing down to earth. A group of seemingly unconnected strangers die from the energy pulse, but then awaken to learn that they have been deemed responsible for preventing the impending Apocalypse.

Sofia will play Erin, who despite the stresses in her life, is eager to make a new life for herself and her young daughter, Amy far away from her hot-headed ex-husband, and Joel will play Peter, a loner who was raised in a group home and is bullied constantly.
